Ask any electrician what ruins a good week, and the answer is rarely the job itself. It is the tool bag. A pocket that sags under a pair of channel pliers, a tote that tips over on a gravel drive, or 30 pounds of tools riding on a shoulder strap while you climb an extension … Read more

The best tool chest for a home garage is the AIRAJ 8-Drawer Rolling Tool Chest: cold-rolled steel rated for 550 pounds, eight lined drawers, and a detachable top box, all on braked swivel casters. A single-car garage does not have room for a permanent bench, a table saw and a miter saw stand all at once. The floor space you give up to a fixed workbench is often the space you need to actually park the car or walk from the door to the tool chest without stepping over … Read more

A good vise is the difference between cutting a joint square and cutting it crooked. Hold a board flat and square in a proper bench vise and your saw, chisel and plane all work off one true edge. Hold it by hand or with a bar clamp and everything drifts. That is also why the … Read more

That combination is quieter than a normal conversation when your load is light, which is exactly what a campground … Read more

When the lights go out for more than a day, the generator you own decides how the rest of the week goes. A tri fuel generator runs on gasoline, propane, or piped natural gas, so you are never stranded if one fuel source is unavailable. We compared the best tri fuel generators for home emergencies … Read more

The lights go out, the refrigerator starts clicking off its compressor cycle, and the Wi-Fi router reboots for the eighth time that night.
